Investigations sponsored by the ISS National Lab range from regenerative medicine research to technology demonstrations, small satellites for deployment, and student-led experiments.
A student-led genetics investigation, small satellites called CubeSats, a technology demonstration, and life and materials science payloads are set to fly on SpaceX CRS-28.
A team of engineering students from the University of Southern California is using the Astrobee robots to test a new autonomous spacecraft docking system called CLINGERS.
“I thought that if we can understand how and why astronauts age differently in space, that it could have implications for health care here on Earth."
Among the miniature satellites onboard SpaceX CRS-28 is Moonlighter, the world’s first and only hacking sandbox in space.
The mission also includes a student-led genetics experiment on collaboration with the annual Genes in Space competition.
Researchers from Stanford University are turning to the ISS National Lab and the results could improve how we power the globe.
