The SpaceX Falcon 9 vehicle is slated to launch its 11thcargo resupply mission to the ISS no earlier than June 1, 2017 from Kennedy Space Center Launch Pad 39A.
Experiments ranging from the life and physical sciences, Earth observation and remote sensing, and a variety of student-led investigations are heading to the ISS National Lab onboard SpaceX CRS-11.
UCLA is sending an experiment to the ISS that will test a new therapy that could accelerate bone growth in humans. A bone-forming molecule called NELL-1 will be tested to see if it can prevent bone loss.
The experiment—a collaboration between the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the ISS National Lab—is searching for an improved antidote to nerve gas and pesticide poisoning.
