Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA)
Aerospace Medicine, as a broad field of endeavor, offers dynamic challenges and opportunities for physicians, nurses, physiologists, human factors specialists, psychologists, bioenvironmental engineers, industrial hygienists, environmental health practitioners, and other professionals. Those in the field are dedicated to enhancing health, promoting safety, and improving performance of individuals who work or travel in unusual environments. Areas of interest range from space and atmospheric flight to undersea activities, and the environments that are studied cover a wide spectrum, extending from the microenvironments of space or diving suits to those of “spaceship Earth.”
American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)
AIAA has dedicated itself to shaping the future of aerospace and our future includes YOU. We believe that aeronautic and astronautic professionals and students and STEM educators are the drivers of global innovation. We are committed to providing resources and experiences that assist in your personal and professional development. Together we make the world a safer, more accessible, and prosperous place.
American Society for Gravitational and Space Research (ASGSR)
The ASGSR provides a forum to foster research, education and professional development in the multidisciplinary fields of gravitational life and physical science research. ASGSR brings together a diverse group of scientists and engineers to encourage an exchange of ideas bridging basic and applied biological and physical sciences research and technology in space and on the ground.
National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
With more than 700 chapters and more than 21,000 active members in the U.S. and abroad, the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States. NSBE, founded in 1975, supports and promotes the aspirations of collegiate and pre-collegiate students and technical professionals in engineering and technology.
Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
For more than seven decades, SWE has given women engineers a unique place and voice within the engineering industry. Our organization is centered around a passion for our members’ success and continues to evolve with the challenges and opportunities reflected in today’s exciting engineering and technology specialties.
Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS)
SEDS chapters inside the United States and out are inspiring an entirely new generation of space-nerds to make tomorrow happen through projects, outreach, space parties, networking events, and other exciting endeavors. We are the largest STEAM student space organization providing a platform for ALL students to pursue their ambition of space exploration through technical engineering projects.
Women of Aeronautics and Astronautics (WoAA)
We are an international initiative to support and empower marginalized genders in the aeronautic and astronautic fields. WoAA is run and led entirely by students and young professionals from all different backgrounds. Non-marginalized genders are welcome as allies. We are always looking for more people to join our mission!
Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE)
The WiSE program is a groundbreaking effort to increase the representation and success of women in science and engineering. Offered at many universities, this program aims to foster curiosity and creative thinking to help students discover their passion while connecting it to a STEM career. WiSE is available at many universities so see your university local chapter for more information.
