Brooke Owens Fellowship
Created to honor the legacy of a beloved space industry pioneer and accomplished pilot, Dawn Brooke Owens (1980-2016), the Brooke Owens Fellowship is designed to serve both as an inspiration and as a career boost to capable young women and other gender minorities who, like Brooke, aspire to explore our sky and stars, to shake up the aerospace industry, and to help their fellow people here on planet Earth. We do this by matching up to forty students per year with purpose-driven, paid internships at leading aerospace companies and organizations with senior and executive level mentors. Open to women or gender-minority students pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree.

The James A. Abrahamson Space Leader Fellowship
A 12-month advanced learning experience designed to promote workforce development for exceptional undergraduate and early-stage graduate students from underrepresented groups by introducing them to the diversity of research and technology development enabled by space. Fellows will work closely with the CASIS team and its network of partners to advance the ISS National Lab mission and our nation’s goal to commercialize low Earth orbit (LEO). Graduate Research Fellowship (GRFP)
The NSF GRFP recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported STEM disciplines who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees at accredited U.S. institutions. The five-year fellowship includes three years of financial support, including an annual stipend of $34,000 and a cost of education allowance of $12,000 to the institution.
The Zed Factor Fellowship Program
Zed Factor Fellowship
The Zed Factor Fellowship will include pairing fellows with industry mentors, placing them in paid summer internships, and providing opportunities for them to build a community (via a summit and other gatherings, in person and virtual, throughout and after the summer program). The participants will also be required to give back to their communities, providing mentorship to a younger community member, building a program in their high school, or finding an appropriate way to grow and expand the impact of the Zed Factor Fellowship beyond themselves. Open to undergraduate students from underrepresented communities or backgrounds.
