SEOPS was founded in 2017 as a wholly owned private entity, established to provide Satellite Deployment and Hosted Payloads Operation Services leveraging existing space transport assets and capabilities to create new, cost-effective solutions for our customers. At SEOPS, we have built a foundation to provide access to space utilizing the International Space Station infrastructure with two proven launch systems servicing the CubeSat and MicroSat markets.
- The SEOPS SlingShot deployment service offerings via the ISS National Lab allow Payload Developers access to LEO via commercial services. SEOPS has experienced payload integration managers, engineers, and operations personnel currently on staff to complement our expertise to participate in the design, development, manufacturing, integration and testing of the SlingShot system and satellites. Team members are well known to the aerospace industry work with customers throughout the project in an integrated team approach to ensure compliance with ISS requirements.
- Satellites are launched to the ISS via any ISS Visiting Vehicle, soft stowed in a cargo transfer bag for a soft ride to station. Crew members attach the payloads in the Slingshot deployer to the Cygnus CBM prior to unberth. Once the Cygnus has unberthed, Cygnus goes to a higher altitude (>450km) for deployment to ensure the best possible orbital lifetime.
