All investigators who wish to submit a proposal in response to the NSF/the ISS National Lab Fluid Dynamics and Particulates and Multiphase Processes Research solicitation must submit a completed the ISS National Lab Feasibility Review Form. Click here to download an example form indicating the required fields for the Feasibility Review Form. To submit a Feasibility Review Form, click the Submit Form button at the bottom of this page.
All information submitted in the ISS National Lab Feasibility Review Form will be reviewed by the ISS National Lab and, possibly, by third parties assisting the ISS National Lab in review. The ISS National Lab Feasibility Review Forms will be subject to an operational and terrestrial benefit evaluation that will result in the encouragement or discouragement of submission of a full proposal to NSF. Applicants will receive email notification within 4 weeks after Feasibility Review Form submission on the results of the evaluation. Feasibility Review Forms found not to be responsive to the research emphases of the solicitation will not be invited for full proposal submission, and no further consideration will be given. The notification of a successful Feasibility Review Form by the ISS National Lab must be provided as a Single Copy Document in Fastlane or Grants.gov. A proposal submitted without the required authorizations will be returned without review. Full proposals should contain the same scientific goals and/or technology objectives identified in the Feasibility Review Form, but the project team is not considered binding for the preliminary stage and can be adjusted in an invited full NSF proposal. Do not include any confidential or proprietary information in your Preliminary Proposal.
