In July 2016, the NASA Space Life and Physical Sciences Research and Applications Division sponsored a science workshop on Life Beyond Low Earth Orbit. The workshop, which was held at NASA’s Ames Research Center, was focused on a discussion of the research that NASA should undertake to facilitate exploration in an era of new opportunities beyond low Earth orbit.
NASA is currently requesting comments on the report generated from the workshop to guide their development of a strategic plan for research in the era of exploration beyond low Earth orbit.
